The summer garden adjacent to the buildings of today’s State Opera and National Museum on Wenceslas Square in Prague was created as an extension of the Čestr restaurant of the Ambiente group.
It was the architecture of the building, (which housed Radio Free Europe since 1950) and its monumentality, that was the starting point for the design of the garden furniture. It was designed for long sittings at lunches and dinners in the spirit of the interior of the restaurant. The black burned solid wood of the dining tables from the RAP carpentry workshop contrasts with the lightness of the wire Master & Master chairs.
